Taste Of Chicago Lakefront picnic returns to Grant Park, June 25-July 4 The votes are in, and year after year, more than 3 million people choose Taste. The annual food and free entertainment festival, Taste of Chicago presented by U.S. Cellular, opens in Grant Park on Friday, June 25 and continues through July 4. Enhancing a great array of menu items from more than 70 restaurants are popular fan favorites such as Taste portions --smaller portions of regular menu items sold for 1-3 tickets, rides including the Carousel, entertainment stages, cooking demonstrations, and the ever-popular Independence Eve concert and fireworks display. This year, Taste closing weekend is also Independence Day weekend and in honor of the holiday, Taste hours will expand to 9:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4. Taste attendees can enjoy the fireworks display over Monroe harbor on July 3 and on Sunday, pick up a bite to eat before heading over to enjoy the display at Navy Pier. http://www.cityofchicago.org/ |
